Summer Therapy Sessions Now Booking!

Welcome! I'm a dedicated speech therapist with 13 years of experience working within the school system. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them improve communication skills and build meaningful connections. I am also certified in the Lidcombe Program for children who stutter, speech sound disorders, and AAC systems, providing tailored therapy that meets each child’s unique needs. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on fostering growth in both academic and social environments. Let’s work together to support your child’s communication journey! New Offerings: Summer Social Skills Group Language Therapy Groups- Tuesday Evenings Throughout the program, children will: -Learn how to initiate and maintain conversations -Practice turn-taking, sharing, and group participation -Build skills for managing emotions in social situations -Learn to read and interpret facial expressions, body language, and social cues -Develop strategies for handling disagreements and navigating tricky peer dynamics -Boost their confidence and experience successful peer interactions in a supportive setting Participants are grouped by skill level, not just age, to ensure each child receives the right support: Basic Group (4:00–5:00 PM): Focuses on foundational skills such as greetings, eye contact, simple conversations, and learning to participate in group play. Ages 6-10 Intermediate Group (5:30–6:30 PM): Supports children working on conversational flow, recognizing social cues, handling frustration, and peer interaction coaching. Ages 7-14 Advanced Group (6:45–7:45 PM): Designed for kids and teens ready to practice more complex social scenarios like handling disagreements, navigating friendships, and problem-solving in groups. Ages 10-18 Summer AAC Play & Learn Group sessions- Thursday Evenings Communication is more than words — it’s play, connection, and shared joy! This special summer group is designed for young AAC users (ages 3–10) and their caregivers to learn, explore, and grow together in a relaxed, fun-filled environment. Each week, families will explore fun, CORE-word and theme-based activities that support expressive and receptive communication, device modeling, vocabulary building, and confidence. The focus is on creating opportunities for children to use their AAC systems in meaningful, natural ways while having fun alongside peers. While the children engage in guided play led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, caregivers will also receive coaching and tips on how to model language, expand vocabulary, and support AAC use during everyday moments at home, in the community, and beyond. This group is a safe, welcoming space for both children and caregivers to build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with other families using AAC.
